Running the platform
System status
Where to find System status, what it reports, and what to do when background work has stalled.
Where it is and who can see it
System status is under Administration → System status. It describes the platform as a whole, not one project. It is available to platform owners, and to platform admins who have been granted access to it. Project members do not see this page.
What it reports
The page reports whether each part of the platform is working.
- Whether the application, sign-in, file storage and background processing can be reached.
- Whether background tasks are being processed, are waiting, or have stalled.
- Which integrations are Configured and which are Not configured.
- A notice when the platform is being updated and some features may be briefly unavailable.
Never a credential
The page says whether an integration is configured, never what it is configured with. No password, key or other credential appears anywhere on it. Credentials for integrations are entered by a platform owner and are never shown again.
When something has stalled
If tasks are waiting but none are being processed, background processing has stalled.
- Retry the task from Background tasks.
- If tasks still do not move, or a part of the platform is shown as unreachable, contact a platform owner.
- If the page says the platform is being updated, wait for the update to finish and then retry.
