Dataset, validation and exports
Handing a dataset to FoodProt
FoodProt AI and the FoodProt database are two separate products. What moves between them, how, and what does not.
Two products
FoodProt AI is the literature-intelligence and evidence workspace that prepares verified, evidence-linked plant-protein functionality measurements for the FoodProt database. FoodProt is a separate website with its own accounts, hosting and data; the two share no sign-in, session, cookie, credential or database. Data moves from here to there as the legacy FoodProt workbook a reviewer exports, never automatically.
A link to the FoodProt website appears in the header, the footer, the export page and on this page. Following it does not sign you in there, and nothing you do there reaches your projects here.
What is handed over
The handoff file is the legacy FoodProt workbook: the historical columns in their original order and wording, built from verified values only. Someone who is allowed to export requests it from the export page, downloads it, and sends it to the FoodProt maintainers. Nothing is sent automatically.
The workbook is one view of the dataset. A measurement with no matching column goes to a separate "unmapped" sheet instead of being dropped. The long-form export carries every row with its method record, and is the one to cite.
What is not handed over
Unverified candidates, rejected values, values with open quality-check errors, the activity log, the source PDFs, and any account or project information. The workbook carries the provenance columns a reader needs to check a number, and the reviewer name.
Linking back
FoodProt AI links to FoodProt. Whether FoodProt links back is decided by the people who run that website, and this page does not claim that it does. The two sites are run separately, so a link in one direction says nothing about the other.
Visit FoodProt database — a separate website with its own accounts; the link leaves this workspace.
